Bed Bugs Control Services
There are several ways to identify a bed bug infestation. Bed bugs are around 6mm in size and reddish-brown in colour, and often hide in cracks and crevices. You might also find clusters of white eggs about 1mm long cemented in these hidden places. Bed bugs are easier to spot when they have fed, as they swell in size and turn bright red or purple. They commonly smell like rotten raspberries, if you recognize this scent. Their presence may be given away by spots of blood and faecal matter or finding exoskeletons (empty bed bug shells) on your bedding, clothes, or carpet.
The bites of other insects are sometimes mistaken for bed bug bites. Some people may not have a reaction to bed bug bites at all. If anyone experiences a bite in conjunction with any of the signs above, it’s time to call in Jubilant Pest Control. Check areas such as bed frames, the mattress, and any creases and folds in fabrics or furniture to confirm the infestation. Clutter and infrequent cleaning make it easier for them to hide. Poor hygiene can make bed bug control significantly harder, even though it is not the reason why bed bugs appear in the first place.
